Topics are bite-size lessons that can be created based on contents such as PowerPoint (PPT), Video (video files or Youtube URLs), Articles or Quizzes.

Topics can be group together to form a Course, which would be use to deliver content on a bite-size basis.

A Course is a grouping of various topics to form a course which users can enrolled and learn.

Courses can then be group under an Accreditation Category or stand on its own as an Accreditation or a course.

For example, a course created based on a PowerPoint topic on Information Technology Security followed by a quiz to assess understanding of the content, could be assigned as an IT Security Accreditation. This Accreditation could then be assigned as a goal to the users.

An Accreditation is singular course certification which can be assigned to a User Group as a goal.

You have the option to set recurring annual goal for an Accreditation and users would be automatically enrolled for the course at the start of every year.

Accreditation can be used for either product certification or compulsory compliance trainings.

An Accreditation Category is a grouping of courses that qualifies under the Accreditation Category.

An Accreditation Category can be assigned to a User Group with specific annual training hours requirement. Time spent on the course (which is captured during the creation of topics) will be tracked based on Accreditation Category.

You have the option to set recurring annual goal for an Accreditation Category as well as pro-rate the hour requirements based on user’s join date. Once a particular Accreditation Category has been assigned to an User Group, users of the group would then be able to browse courses under this category and enrol.

Users of the organization can be group based on their job functionalities or department. Each User Group would have their unique learning goals set by the organization.

A User can belong to multiple User Groups depending on the organization’s setup. For example, a User Group can be created for all new joiners and assigned compulsory on-boarding courses assigned by the company.
